At Greenwood First Free Will Baptist Church our mission is to equip people to know Christ, love Christ, and share Christ. These three actions are a staple piece of our ministry.
Know Christ
We believe that before you are ever able to love Christ, and before you go out to share Him with the world, you first have to know Him. Here at Greenwood FFWBC we put a great emphasis on knowing the Word of God. The study and preaching of the Bible is the focal point of every service. Have a knowledge of God and His Word is crucial to having a right relationship with Him.
Love Christ
Through that study of the Bible our prayer is that you will offer your life in faith and repentance to Jesus. The love that we have for Jesus is possible because he first loved us by giving himself to die on the cross for our sins (Romans 5:8). When we love Jesus we'll follow Him. We'll obey His Word, and ultimately will lead us to the final piece of our mission at Greenwood FFWBC.
Share Christ
When a person knows Christ through the study of His Word, and they love Him by giving themselves to Him through faith and repentance, then a born again believer will not be able to help but share Jesus with those around them. We believe that we each are called into service for the Lord; as Jesus has commanded, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19).
Greenwood FFWBC was established in 1953, and in those nearly 7 decades of ministry the focus has always been the same: the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
